6.5 Programming the Internal Flash Memory

(H'7171) to any address of the
internal flash memory

(8) Read Lock Bit Status command
The Read Lock Bit Status command is provided for checking whether a flash memory block is protected
against programming/erase operation. Write the Read Lock Bit Status command (H7171) to any address of
the internal flash memory. Next, read the last even address of the flash memory block to be checked (see
Table 6.5.3, M32180F8 Target Blocks and Specified Addresses), and the read data shows whether the
target block is protected.
If the FLBST0 (lock bit 0) and FLBST1 (lock bit 1) in the read data both are "0", it means that the target
memory block is protected. If the FLBST0 (lock bit 0) and FLBST1 (lock bit 1) both are "1", it means that the
target memory block is not protected.
