Wait until the instrument has reached its operating temperature before you start the
adjustment procedure.
The warm-up time is up to 30 minutes.
2. Select "System Config > Setup > Internal Adjustment > Adjust All".
The adjustment process starts.
If the internal adjustment has started, do not interrupt the process.
A progress indicator shows the status of the adjustment process. The extent of the
adjustments depends on the installed options.
If any error occurs, the process aborts, and an error message appears in the "Info"
line.
If there is an error:
● Select "Info".
Observe the error message.
● Continue the process.

Continuing the adjustment process if an error appears
Per default, if any error occurs during the adjustment process, the process aborts. An
error message appears in the "Info" line.
If you prefer to finish the adjustments also if there is an error, proceed as follows:
1. Select "System Config > Setup > Security > Protection" an unlock the protection
level 1.
See "Protection Level/Password" on page 250.
2. Select "System Config > Setup > Internal Adjustment > Configuration > Continue
Adjustment on Error > On".
3. Proceed as described in "Running internal adjustments" on page 590.
Starting the internal adjustments automatically
The delayed adjustment function enables you, that the instrument executes the adjust-
ments automatically. You can define the start by setting the warm-up time, and even
cause the instrument to shut down after the adjustment process has finished. Using
this function, you can execute adjustments without being on-site and start measure-
ments directly when back.
1. Select "System Config > Setup > General > Internal Adjustment".
2. Select "Delayed Adjustment".
3. Set the "Warm Up Time", e.g., 40 min.
The R&S SMB100B requires a warm-up time of at least 30 min.
4. Enable "Shut Down After Adjustment"
5. Select "Adjust All Delayed".
The process starts with warming up the intrument, indicating the progress in a sta-
tus dialog. In this dialog, you can abort the process again, if necessary.
