connectors of the other signals used for the BER/BLER test.

Data
Assigns the data signal to the corresponding TRIGGER or MARKER 1 connector.

Clock
Indicates that the CLOCK IN connector receives the clock signal.
Data Enable
Shows the mapping of the data enable control signal to the NEXT connector.
Restart
Shows the mapping of the restart signal to the MARKER 2 for BER tests.
The BLER test does not use this control signal.
5.4.13 Test Generator
The BER/BLER test generator is a selftest that enables you to validate the BER and
BLER measurements. The selftest is a protected function you can access when you
unlock protection level 1.
To enable the BER/BLER test generator
► To unlock protection level 1, proceed as described in "To unlock or lock a protec-
tion level..." on page 147. The password is 123456.
When enabled, the BER/BLER dialogs provide the "Test Generator button" for
access.
Bit and Block Error Rate Measurements
