Disinfection system, optional
The water unit can optionally be equipped with a disinfection system. It
adds a disinfectant to the water the patient comes in contact with. This
reduces the amount of germs in the water lines. If you decide to operate
the treatment center without the disinfection system, please refer to the
information in the chapter "Media quality" [ → 16].
Water lines, microorganisms, optional disinfection system
When the supply of disinfectant in the reservoir begins to run short
(< 300 ml), the
Disinf display appears in the footer of the touchscreen.
The treatment can nevertheless be continued. Refill disinfectant as soon
as possible.
If the
Disinf display does not appear, disinfectant should not be refilled.
The treatment center may detect disinfectant consumption which is too
low due to regular refilling, and report an error. See “Error
messages” [ → 219], Code 14
1. Open the maintenance cover for disinfectant.
2. Refill disinfectant. The container has a capacity of approx. 1.3 liters.
It is full when the disinfectant is visible at the filter of the funnel tube.
 The
Disinf display switches off.
To reorder disinfectant for the water lines, see "Spare parts and
consumables" [ → 221].

These microorganisms could increase the risk of damage to one's
health.
➢ If the treatment center is equipped with a disinfection system, never
operate this without disinfectant.
