WARNING
CHEMICAL BURN AND/OR EYE INJURY HAZARD
Wear gloves and eye protection when using a chemical product. Avoid contact with the
eyes or skin. If spilled or splashed, flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. If
swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
WARNING
BURN HAZARD
Allow washer/disinfector to cool down before performing any service on pump,
mechanical components or piping. Surfaces become very hot during
washer/disinfector operation.
When removing reservoir cover, always wear appropriate Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE), including gloves and faceshield to prevent burns from water
solution splashes or steam.
Inner surfaces of chamber, surgical case carts and racks are very hot after cycle is
completed. Allow washer/disinfector to cool down before entering chamber. Always
wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves and
faceshield, and avoid all contact with inner walls when entering chamber.
WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND/OR BURN HAZARD
Placing washer POWER ON/OFF toggle switch in OFF position to turn off washer does
not cut off electrical power. Lockout/Tagout building electrical disconnect switch to cut
power to washer/disinfector for maintenance or repair.
As a preventive maintenance measure, it is recommended that the Customer performs the decontamination of the
washer/disinfector once a week or when DECONTAM cycle warning message is displayed.
Before performing the DECONTAM cycle:
Contact STERIS for information on specific cleaning and descaling products recommended for use with this
washer/disinfector.
Depending on hardness of water being used, it may be necessary to decontaminate and descale more often.
If washer/disinfector has not been used for more than 24 hours, processing a DECONTAM cycle is recommended;
IMPORTANT: If DECONTAM cycle is aborted, wash chamber and reservoirs must be thoroughly rinsed. Once situation is
resolved, process one complete DECONTAM cycle.
To perform DECONTAM cycle, proceeds as follows:
