Replacing Stopper O-Rings
Check stopper gaskets and O-rings regularly for wear and replace them when necessary. The
square stopper has two gaskets and internal O-ring. The round stopper has an internal
O-ring.
A 4 mm screw (at least 3 mm long) is required to remove the liner that supports the internal
O-ring.
Y To replace the internal O-ring (round or square stopper)
1. Insert the 4 mm screw several turns into the stopper base, and use it to pull the liner out
of the base (leave the screw in the liner).
Note Use of the temperature probe with corrosive samples or extreme temperatures can
cause O-rings to break down faster.
