2. Install:
• Inta
ke valve
• Exhaust valve
• Valve spring seat
• Valve spring
• Retainer
• Valve cotter
a. Install the valve “1”, valve spring seat
“2”, valve spring “3”, a
nd valve spring
retainer “4” in this order, and then in-
stall the valve spring compressor “5”.
b. Compress the valve spring, and then
install the valve co
tters “1”.
c. Tap the valve spring retainer lightly us-
ing a plastic hammer to seat the valve
cotters “1” securely.
Make sure that both valve cotters “1” are seat-
ed securely and evenly.
3. Install:
• Oil seal
“1”
4. Install:
• Camshaft
• Gasket
• Camshaft retaining bolt
Valve spring compressor “5”
(commercially available)
