32.14 Advertisement Overview
You can set the Zyxel Device to display an advertisement web page as the first web page whenever the
user connects to the Internet.
32.15 Advertisement Commands
This table lists the advertisement commands. You must use the configure terminal command to
enter the configuration mode before you can use these commands.
32.15.1 Advertisement Command Example
This example shows how to set an advertisement rule and displays the rule settings.

[no] advertisement activate
Enables the advertisement feature. The no command disables the
advertisement feature.
advertisement flush
Deletes all advertisement rules.
[no] advertisement name
description url url
Sets a descriptive name for the advertisement web page and enters the web
site address to create a new rule. The
no command removes the
advertisement rule.
description: You can use up to 31 alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9)
and underscores (_). Spaces are not allowed. The first character must be a
letter.
url: the URL or IP address of the web site. Use “http://” followed by up to 262
characters (0-9a-zA-Z;/?:@&=+$\.-_!~*'()%). For example, http://
www.example.com or http://172.16.1.35.
advertisement rename
description_old description_new
Gives an existing rule a new name.
show advertisement
Displays settings of advertisement rule(s).
show advertisement activation
Displays whether the advertisement feature is enabled or not.

Router(config)# advertisement name example url http://www.example.com
Router(config)# show advertisement
advertisement rule: 1
