Accutome B-Scan Plus User Guide
Figure 88 B-Scan Example
Probe Operation
The Accutome B-Scan Plus emits an oscillating sound
beam that pulses, pauses and pulses again. The pause
allows the B-Scan Plus to receive, process and display
the returning echo. The pulse-echo is repeated
thousands of times per second resulting in a "real-time"
display. The sound beam "slices" through a section of
intraocular tissue covering approximately sixty degrees.
