10.10 Working with the Margin Line tool
The Margin Line tool automatically detects and marks the margin line on restorative case types that require
crowns. If required, it can be marked manually for other indications. Once the margin line has been created, you
can tweak it or recreate it if it has been deleted.
10.10.1Automatically defining the margin line
The Margin Line tool automatically detects and marks the margin line on restorative case types (crowns only).
Note: The margin line may not be created automatically if:
l
The prepped tooth was not scanned properly.
l
The wrong die separation was used the green dot was not centered on the prepped tooth while scanning
therefore part of the scan is not within the die separation area.
If the margin line cannot be created automatically, you will receive a message notifying you of this, and you can
manually define the margin line, as described in Manually defining the margin line.
