Fault Possible cause Solution
The controller does not respond
to any
operation.
- A remote controller has been
connected to the control
system.
It has blocked the controller
buttons.
- Check terminal 85. Remove the
“1“ signal (24V DC) if present.
Undefined unit response. - A program change has
occurred without a restart.
- Carry out a basic unit
initialisation.
A connected sensor is not
working
- An incorrect type was
entered in the set up menu
for the corresponding sensor.
- Set the correct sensor type
(Menu General Setup >
Sensors/EFE).
The actuator moves to an end
position and remains there in the
operating modes "manual
operation" or "SC".
- The actuator direction is
incorrectly set.
- The direction of the position
return for the central position
encoder is incorrectly set.
- Reverse the actuator direction
(Menu General Setup >
Actuator > Direction,
Checkbox "Mot Dir. Inverted“).
- Reverse the position feedback
direction
(Menu General Setup >
Actuator > SC-Transducer >
Type & Dir., Checkbox "Inv“).
Both software end switches of
the actuator are active
simultaneously.
- The direction of the position
return for the central position
encoder is incorrectly set.
- Reverse the position feedback
direction
(Menu General Setup >
Actuator > SC-Transducer >
Type & Dir., Checkbox "Inv“).
All the menu settings for
actuators, sensors, central
position encoders, etc. are
correct, but the unit does not
control
- The gain (XP) was
inadvertently reduced to “0”.
No guiding takes place in
"automatic" operating mode.
- Adjust the controller gain.
The control unit cannot or can
only be partially controlled after
switching on.
- Changes to the settings of the
digital inputs have been
carried out (e.g. an input for
an operating mode has been
configured as Low-active, so
that the operating mode can
no longer be changed over
the keyboard).
- Check the configuration of all
digital inputs and if necessary
adjust a possibly present
external protective circuit
(Menu General Setup >
Dig. > Inputs).
