Adjustment method
The adjustment value set above is saved in NVRAM. Such adjustment value is
adjusted to 4 types of PG height (1.4mm/2.1mm/2.6mm). PG height and Paper
thickness are needed to calculate the adjustment value. Followings are how to
select the saving location for the adjustment value. The adjustment value saved in
NVRAM is renewed at the same time of re-adjustment.
NOTE1: The purpose to keep paper thickness is to adjust in every 0.1mm for
paper thickness set from paper thickness setup command PH.
NOTE2: The purpose to enter paper thickness at first is because the pattern with
closest adjustment value in printer can be printed from the beginning,
and repeating operation can be reduced.
NOTE3: (*1) The adjustment value with the consideration of each PG height
calculated from subject adjustment value is saved as the rest of
adjustment value.
NOTE4: (*2) When paper thickness is set as more than 0.6mm, PG2.6mm is set
regardless of PG setting and paper thickness sensor detection.
NOTE5: (*3) Even if paper thickness is detected as thick paper (more than
0.7mm) by paper thickness sensor, it is set as PG2.6mm.
NOTE6: Saved value is different depend on 240cps/300cps.
NOTE7: Gap adjustment can be operated by either panel or command.
However, paper thickness and PG height setup is independent of
command/panel so that panel setting cannot be reflected to command
setting.
NOTE8: The category of "PAPER GROUP A~C" of the paper type selection is
the same as recommended PG position.A~C are set as follows.
A:PG1.4mm/B:PG2.1mm/C:PG2.6mm.
NOTE9: (*4) When HC2/AY ink is set, it cannot be selected. Refer to the
following list how to saving location when HC2/AY ink is set.
