Item Description
LCD message INK OUT
LED indicator status Corresponded "INK OUT" LED goes on.
Explanation
Ink end error occurs when defined amount of ink have consumed after
NearEnd is detected. It occurs when NearEnd cartridge is inserted
whether defined amount of ink have consumed or not.
Recovery
In case of ink end, open the ink compartment and then replace cartridge
into new full one.
User should replace the cartridge with a quite new one, and never use a
used one otherwise the ink level indicators will not work correctly.

LCD message NO INK CARTRIDGE
LED indicator status Corresponded "INK OUT" LED goes on.
Explanation The ink cartridge is not set completely in the cartridge holder.
Recovery
Open the ink compartment, and then replace cartridge into new full
one.
User should replace the cartridge into a quite new one, and never use
a used one otherwise the ink level indicators will not work correctly.
* When this error is occurred during pause status, "NO INK
CARTRIDGE" status is kept until pause status is released. (pause
after error)

LED indicator status N/A
Explanation
A non-supported option Type-B I/F card is installed into the
printer.
Recovery
Turn off the printer, remove the unsupported option card, and turn
the printer back on. Install a supported option card if necessary.

LCD message UNABLE TO PRINT
LED indicator status No change
Explanation
This error occurs in following cases, when it prints nozzle check
pattern, status sheet, gap adjustment pattern, or paper thickness
detection pattern.
No paper
No ink cartridge
Paper detection error
This error returns to display state just before the error.
Recovery
Once SelecType mode is closed, and print again after displayed
error is cleared.

Item Description
LCD message NOZZLE CHECK ERROR
LED indicator status N/A
Explanation
The error occurs in the following case;
Auto nozzle check failed.
It occurs when nozzle clogging is not recovered automatically with
auto nozzle check. Auto nozzle check takes Max.8 minutes. The
printer keeps displaying Service Request, until next auto nozzle check
is executed.
Recovery
There is two way for recovery, Compulsory or head cleaning.
1. Compulsory recovery
The printer will be read status with pushing PAUSE button.
It will start printing again if it still have print data in it at that time.
2. Head cleaning
The printer starts head cleaning with pushing CLEANING button.
After head cleaning is completed, the printer starts Auto nozzle
check again.
