PRELIMINARY
3-7-4 Set Up Connection to a DICOM Server in a Network
NOTE: Typically, DICOM server (PACS) is configured as part of another dataflow
(for example, Local Archive - DICOM Server).
It is not advisable to use DICOM server as a live dataflow as no image will be saved to the Local HD.
DICOM Server may be configured and used to transfer a Study already saved to the Local HD.
This scenario requires that the scanner is configured to be connected to the DICOM server as described
below.
3-7-4-1 Overview
To work against the DICOM server, the following information has to be entered in the scanner:
• DICOM server IP address.
• DICOM server port number.
• DICOM server AE title (the server application’s name).
• Name of Device.
