2-1-1 Purpose of Chapter 2
This chapter provides the information required to plan and prepare for the installation of a Vivid S5 N or
Vivid S6 N ultrasound unit. Included are descriptions of the electrical and facility requirements that must
be met by the purchaser. A worksheet is provided at the end of this chapter (refer to Figure 2-2 on
page 2-11) to help ensure that all the required network information is available, prior to installation.
