Proprietary 30 of 190
The square activation area of the contact Thermode is 900 mm
2
(30 mm side).
Stimulation temperature range is 0C to 55C.
Refer to section 20, page 165 to view the full range of Thermode types and
sizes.
2.3 Switching Thermodes
The software activates the proper Thermode, based on the Program chosen by the user.
No additional user intervention is required. To disable or disconnect a Thermode refer to the
Technical service manual for detailed instructions.

skin.
Thermo Electric Cooler (TEC), a Peltier element used as the active heat
generator in the Thermode.
The active heat generator used for the CHEPS Thermode.
The Cooling Unit (referred to also as an External Cooling Unit – ECU) is a
component within the system which is responsible for refrigerating and
circulating the coolant through the system and Thermode(s).
The initial/rest temperature of the Thermode, after system initialization
and in between tests. Also referred to as Adaptation Temperature.
