4.2 Installation USB Content
The installation USB contains the MEDOC Main Station setup program and additional features
that are required for system normal operation, as detailed below:
1. MEDOC Main Station setup program.
2. Software license files.
3. Firmware
4. Technical Reference Manual.
5. Technical Reference Service Manual.
6. Remote assistance tools.
The installation USB contains all of the unique system files. Keep it in a safe
place. It may be required for restoring the system configuration in case of
malfunction and/or service during remote control session by Medoc.
4.3 Setup and Installation Main Steps
PATHWAY System installation consists of the following steps:
1. Selecting an appropriate location for the system. See section 4.4, page 44.
2. Filling the cooling unit with the supplied coolant. See section 4.5, page 44.
3. Connecting the Thermodes and additional accessories to the system. See section 4.6, page
44.
4. Connecting the laptop and installing Medoc Main Station software. See 4.7, page 46.
5. Configuring the system.
See TSA-II Technical Reference Service Manual for further details on the
system components.
4.4 Selecting a Location
An appropriate location for the PATHWAY system should meet the following criteria:
1. The room temperature should be kept between 18°C and 24°C.
2. The PATHWAY system should not be placed in a location, which is exposed to direct
sunlight, constant vibrations, or close to heaters or air conditioners.
3. The room in which the system will be located should be quiet, allowing the subject to
concentrate on the examination with minimum distractions.
4. The space allocated for the system should allow enough room to perform regular system
maintenance procedures.
4.5 Filling the System Coolant Reservoir
Fill up coolant in the coolant reservoir of the Cooling Unit (ECU). Make sure you add the
appropriate amount of coolant according to the instructions. Please refer to section 19, page
161.
4.6 Device Connections
1. Ensure that the laptop meets the minimum computer requirements.
2. Make sure that the laptop and PATHWAY unit are turned OFF.
3. Connect Thermodes and accessories according to your application, see Figure 13Error!
