Indicate different temperature points via TTL or Sound. See
section 7.9.
7.7.6 Thermal Sensory Limen (TSL)
In this method, the system generates warm sensation and cold sensation stimuli, alternating
according to the subject response. The stimuli direction changes after each subject response.
For an explanation of the method, refer to section 2.8.6, page 36.
Figure 42: Program Menu – TSL
The table below describes the program parameters available for the TSL method:
Table 19: Program Parameters
Temperature from which each new stimulation sequence
begins.
ATS: 20°C – 45°C
CHEPS: 30°C – 45°C
Time Before
Sequence (sec)
The time interval before the first trial. Valid range: 0 to 600
(sec).
Define direction of first stimulus: warm or cold
Defines the temperature change rate for increasing
temperature. Valid range: 0.1 to 8°C/sec.
Defines the temperature change rate for decreasing
temperature. Valid range: 0.1 to 8°C/sec.
Number of stimuli until the test ends (each subject response is
counted as one stimulus.
