Section 18 - Melt-Disk System

operating or doing maintenance procedures on the Melt-Disk system.
18.1 Reverse Melt-Link Identication
Some Melt-Disk systems are tted with a Reverse Melt Link. To determine
whether your system contains a Reverse Melt Link, check the plate which is
located on the side of the Hot Half. See Figure 18-1.

You can also check your parts list on the General Assembly drawing for the
Reverse Melt Link part numbers:
• MTL014A (female in nozzle)
• MTL014B (male in Melt-Disk)
If your system has a Reverse Melt Link, you will need to follow the Reverse
Melt Link startup and shutdown procedures. See Sections 18.8.2 and 18.9.2
for more information.
