15.6 Sprint Gate Seal Maintenance

Use the socket supplied in the tool kit to loosen the gate seal.

It is advisable to heat the nozzle to ensure the temperature condition is met to
remove the gate seal.
15.6.1 Sprint Nozzle Tip Removal
CAUTION
The Hot Runner system must be turned o󰀨 and cooled to below
38 ºC (100 ºF) before cavity plate is removed. The cavity plate can then be
removed to expose the nozzle tips.
CAUTION
1. After gate seals are exposed by removing the cavity plate, heat nozzles
only until plastic softens in gate area (temperature will depend on resin
used).
