System Status Buttons 6
System status buttons are located in the Overall System Status area at the
bottom of the LMC display (see
figure 36).

Each button represents a subsystem. Table 30 shows the library
subsystems and some of the components that each subsystem represents.
Each field replaceable unit (FRU) in the library belongs to one of the
subsystems.

Drives Drives and media, such as brick firmware, drive bricks, drive sleds, cartridges,
and magazines
Connectivity Host connectivity components, such as I/O management units, I/O blades, and
the chassis management blade (CMB)
Control Main processor cards and related hardware and software, such as system
firmware, the management control blade (MCB), the robotics control unit (RCU),
the library motor drive (LMD), and the operator panel
Robotics Assemblies and processors involved in the movement and handling of library
media, such as the IEX board, I/E stations, the pivot and reach assemblies, system
barcode labels, doors, filters, the accessor, drive mounts, rails, and carriages
Power Power supplies and related hardware, such as the power distribution unit (PDU),
power chassis, and fuses
