6.2.2 CONTROLLER
The controller uses GW (Ground Work) architecture, which allows the board to
control all applications (copier, printer, scanner, and fax).
To add an optional printer, scanner, or fax application, install a ROM DIMM on the
controller. The fax option, however, requires FCU and NCU installation also.
Systems and application software can be downloaded from the controller’s IC Card
slot. For details about how to download software from an IC card (☛ 5.2).
