Toner Bottle Replacement
If the Toner Near Empty warning message is displayed, it indicates that the toner
bottle needs to be replaced, which can be done without stopping the printer.
If the graphic error message Toner Empty is displayed, the printer will stop, and
the toner bottle must be replaced.
1. Open the toner bottle cover.
2. Make sure that the toner bottle is not rotating. Swing the toner cartridge
toward you and pull the toner bottle out.
Note: If the toner bottle cannot be pulled out, close the toner bottle cover to
resume the normal position, and then repeat the above steps.
3. Hold the new toner bottle with the arrow facing upward and drop it onto a solid
object (such as desk) from a height of approximately

". Then hold it
with the arrow facing downward and drop it down again to a solid object (such
as a desk) from a height of approximately

".
4. Turn the toner bottle upside down and repeat 5 times.
