14.4 Removing or replacing non-stationary devices
14.4.1 Temporarily removing an individual non-stationary device
It may be possible that an FDnet device must be temporarily removed from the
base. Afterwards the same FDnet device must be re-inserted at exactly the same
place in the FDnet.
Document the serial number or address and the position in the
FDnet
for each
device in order to enable the device to be placed in the same position following its
removal.
1. Remove the FDnet device.
The control panel detects that the FDnet device is missing and reports a
'Fault'.
2. Perform the necessary activities.
3. Re-insert the FDnet device in the FDnet in the same, previous position.
4. Acknowledge the 'Fault'.
If this 'Fault' is no longer displayed, the control panel updates the settings of
the re-inserted FDnet device.
If this 'Fault' is still displayed, and / or the detector line is not in normal
operation, the detector line has to be restarted.
The work described in this chapter may be performed when the
FDnet
detector
line is switched on.
