16.2 Reference measurement with EOL 4k7 and 3k3
A reference measurement is performed each time a collective detector line is
started up if the end-of-line element (EOL) 4k7 or 3k3 is used.
If the cause of a fault, e.g. removal of a device for testing purposes, is not rectified
before the collective detector line is started up again, 'Line fault' is displayed.
The collective detector line is started up again after e.g. the following situations:
Test alarm
Resetting an alarm
Switching on the 'Zone'
Exiting 'Detector test'
Exiting 'Installation test'

1 'Line Fault' error message [ 60]
16.3 Possible error messages
If FD20 multiple protocol detectors are operated on a
line card (collective), a
short-circuit on the stub is indicated as an 'Open line'. This is because the
separator of the multiple protocol detector opens in a short-circuit. The 'Line' is
open and the short-circuit is isolated.
The following error messages may appear when collective detector lines are
being operated:
'Open line'
The end-of-line element is not recognized or a detector or base is
defective.
The collective detector line is no longer used. If the collective detector line
is no longer used, you must select the 'SintesoWorks' setting in the detail
editor of the collective detector line for 'Collective line type' in Not
configured.
'Line fault'
Error message from detector, base or line due to a change in line
resistance. The cause may be a creeping short-circuit or an open line
which results in the detectors consuming irregular amounts of power or the
resistance value of the end-of-line element changing.
'No line supply'
Problems with the hardware on this 'Line' or an external supply on this
'Line'
Incorrectly cabled lines, e.g. L1+ commutation with L2- and L1-
commutation with L2+
