16.4.5 Commissioning the collective detector line step-by-step
' with KMK = 1 increases the line current by approx. 0.1
1. Connect the universal measuring instrument to the start of the ↑ collective
detector line.
2. Switch the 'Detector test' on for the 'Zone' in order to avoid false alarms.

3. Measure and make a note of the line current.
4. Insert the 'Detectors' into the bases one after the other and check the
respective current.
When the 'Detector' is inserted, the current increases for up to 25 seconds
and then settles back to a quiescent current.
Troubleshooting
● If the line current remains unaltered, the 'Detector' may be defective or the
connections corroded.
● If the line current increases by more than the detector's quiescent current, the
'Detector' has residual current. Swap the 'Detector' in this case.
1. Switch the collective detector line on:
– Switch on the 'Zone' that is assigned to the collective detector line. The
'Zone' and the physical collective detector line are then switched on at the
same time. Link [➙ 83]
The error message should not be displayed any longer.
2. Test the system function as described above and continue with the completion
work.
