21.10 Switching on
21.10.1 Switch on detector line
1. Select 'Main menu' > 'Topology' > 'Hardware tree' > 'Station' > ↑ Line card >
↑ Detector line.
2. Press the 'MoreOptions' softkey and select 'Execute commands'.
3. Select the 'Detector line ON' command.
 The yellow 'ISOLATION' LED goes out.
 The detector line is switched on.
Switch on
the collective detector line on the line card (collective)
You must switch on the 'Zone' that is assigned to the collective detector line. The
'Zone' and the physical collective detector line are then switched on at the same

21.10.2 Switch on zone
1. Select 'Topology' > ↑ 'Detection tree' > 'Area' > ↑ 'Section' > 'Zone' in the main
menu.
2. Press the 'More Options' softkey and select 'Execute commands'.
3. Select the 'On' command.
 The yellow 'ISOLATION' LED goes out.
 The 'Zone' is switched on.
21.11 Restarting the detector line
WARNING
Activation of fire or smoke dampers
If fire or smoke dampers are connected to the FS20 via an input/output module,
they may be activated when the station is switched off or when the station or
detector line is restarted.
● If necessary, block the outputs temporarily [➙ 84] before switching off the
station or restarting the station/detector line.
1. Select 'Main menu' > 'Topology' > 'Hardware tree' > ↑ 'Station' > 'Module' (line
card) > 'Line'.
2. Press the 'More Options' softkey and select 'Execute commands'.
3. Select the 'Restart line' command.
 The ↑ detector line is restarted. The following messages are displayed:
'Line starting up'
'Device config.runs'
Start line test
Only test the line and line devices once the following messages have disappeared
from the PMI:
- 'Device config.runs'
- 'System startup completed'
