16.3.1 'Line Fault' error message
If the error message 'Line fault' is displayed for collective detector lines once the
↑ 'Station' has started, the cause may be a change in line resistance.
● Greater resistance, e.g. due to corrosion of the base connections or faulty end-
of-line element
● Less resistance e.g. due to a defective 'Detector' or a faulty end-of-line element

16.4.1 Checking the collective detector line
When testing collective detector lines on the ↑ line card (collective) FCL2002, you
must observe the following points:
● Detectors must not be triggered too soon after each other.
● The total time required to check a collective detector is 50 s.
● Once a detector has been triggered, the internal ↑ alarm indicator flashes for
15 s and the line is automatically reset.
● The length of time after which the line is ready for the next detector to be
triggered varies depending on the line type.
Type Total time required
Transzorb 45 s
EOL22Ex 40 s
EOL 4k7 50 s
EOl 3k3 50 s
