5.3 Instruments and instrument hoses Operating Instructions SINIUS / SINIUS CS
✔ The Insert instruments in water unit display appears on the touch
screen.
1. Remove the SPRAYVIT sleeves from the valve bodies, the straight
and contra-angle handpieces from the water-carrying instruments,
and the suction cannulas from the suction hoses.
2. If the adapter is not yet located in the receptacles of the water unit,
insert this into the receptacle until it locks into place. The SPRAYVIT
adapters can only be inserted into both the receptacles on the right
side of the dentist element with the guide rib facing upward. Similarly,
the SPRAYVIT adapter must be inserted into the assistant element
side. The adapters can remain in the water unit.
3. Dentist element side: Insert the couplings of all water-carrying
treatment instruments onto the adapter in the water unit (for
SPRAYVIT M: valve lever facing up, locking button facing down).
For SINIUS CS: Move the swivel arm of the instruments to be purged
into the operating position so that the weight of the instrument hoses
allows it to remain in this position.
4. Assistant element side: Here, also insert the valve bodies of the
SPRAYVIT M onto the adapter in the water unit. Also insert the
suction hoses.
IMPORTANT
Arrangement of adapters
The adapters for the instrument couplings are color coded:
Yellow = SPRAYVIT M, water on right button
Orange = SPRAYVIT M, water on left button
White = highspeed handpiece
Green = BL motor
Blue = BL ISO S/C motor (ISO interface)
Red = SIROSONIC TL scaler
