Tilt Motor Assembly and Tilt Belt Replacement
VL Part No: 21.9678.0765 (Tilt Motor)
VL Part No: 54.2055.0001 (Tilt Belt)
Repair/Replacement Procedure
To remove and replace tilt motor:
Step 1. Disconnect luminaire AC input cable from power source.
Step 2. At tilt-side leg, remove yoke leg cover by removing four 6-32x5/16" PPB screws.
Step 3. At tilt motor assembly, loosen four 10-32x1/2" PPZ screws.
Step 4. Remove belt from tilt pulley.
Step 5. Remove four 10-32x1/2" PPZ screws. Be mindful of tensioning springs.
Step 6. Disconnect wiring and remove tilt assembly.
Step 7. Replace by performing steps 2 through 6 in reverse order.
Note: Make sure wiring is not pinched during installation. When tightening four 10-32x1/2" PPZ
screws that mount Pan Motor Assembly, you must tighten in a CLOCKWISE pattern starting with
screw in lower left-hand side from spring.
To remove and replace tilt motor belt:
Step 8. Disconnect luminaire AC input cable from power source.
Step 9. At tilt-side leg, remove yoke leg cover by removing four 6-32x5/16" PPB screws.
Step 10. At tilt motor assembly, loosen four 10-32x1/2" PPZ screws.
Step 11. Remove belt from tilt pulley.
Step 12. Remove four 10-32x1/2" PPZ screws. Be mindful of tensioning springs.
Step 13. Disconnect the following wiring and remove tilt assembly:
a. Disconnect lamp wire from ignitor.
b. Remove ignitor assembly mounting bracket (leave ignitor attached to bracket) by
removing three 6-32x3/8" PPZ screws and 1/4" standoff.
c. Disconnect ground wire from stud using 3/8" nut driver.
d. At interconnect, disconnect 80MM fan wiring.
Step 14. Remove belt.
Step 15. Replace by performing steps 2 through 7 in reverse order.
