11.14.3.1. Results List
Characteristic
The following settings/results are displayed:
Reading results #0…n The characters read from the detected line are displayed.
Reading results are read out for each detected line.
11.14.3.2. Segment List
Goal
Detected characters are listed in the sub-module in order to provide information concer-
ning the detected segment. This information can be used to further optimize the overall
settings.
Characteristic
The following settings/results are displayed for any given selected segment:
Assigned character If an appropriate character has been found in the character
set, it’s displayed. Otherwise, the default replacement charac-
ter appears, namely a question mark (?).
Lower threshold value Lowest binarization value that has been used to binarize the
character.
Upper threshold Highest binarization value that has been used to binarize the
character.
Height Height of the character
Width Width of the character
Scoring Specifies the value which indicates how closely the scanned
character coincides with the utilized character from the cha-
racter set. If no comparable character is found in the character
set, the assessment value is 0. If the scanned character coin-
cides precisely to the utilized character from the character set,
the value is 1000.
