18.3. Coordinate system
By use of coordinates, the position inside a coordinate system is defined uniquely (surface, volume etc.) The
sensor operates in a predominantly two-dimensional image in which a point P (X, Y) is defined by the X and Y
components.
We distinguish three Cartesian coordinate systems with different reference points.

All the coordinate systems follow the definition of a right-handed coordinate system.
