7.3.2 Conditions for network configuration
The GPIB interface has the following restrictions in order to secure the inter-device
communications. Configure the network within these restrictions.
(1) Length of a cable between devices shall be 4 m or shorter. Average distance
between devices connected to the bus shall be 2 m or shorter.
(2) The entire length of the cables shall be 20 m or shorter.
(3) Number of devices that can be connected to a bus is 15 or below, two thirds or
above of which shall be powered on.
