4. When installing the chain, ensure its clip's opening is
opposite the chain's rotating direction.
5. Apply grease on the tension sliding surface.

1.5.5 ADJUSTMENT AND REPLACEMENT
OF GRAIN SIDE CHAIN (RH)
A. ADJUSTMENT
1. The tension of this chain is automatically adjusted. If
the chain is stretched and the stopper's hole is visible,
move the stopper so that the shaft contacts the hole.
• If the chain is excessively stretched and cannot be
adjusted itself, remove the chain 2 link (25.4 mm).

(2) Grain side chain (RH)
(A) This hole should not be visible.

B. REPLACEMENT
1. Disconnect the fuel pipe cable from the cover.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Fit the tension metal using pliers and remove the chain.
If the chain cannot be removed easily, remove the
chain's clip and disconnect the chain.
