1.4 GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
• When disassembling the engine, arrange each part in a
clean area. Make sure not to mix them. Keep the bolts
and nuts near where they were removed.
• Before servicing electronic devices, disconnect the
negative terminal from the battery.
• When gaskets or O-rings are dissembled, replace them
with new ones. Apply grease on the new O-ring and oil
seal when reassembling.
• When replacing parts, use only genuine KIOTI parts to
maintain engine performance and safety.
• To prevent oil and water leakage, apply non-drying ad-
hesive to the gaskets according to this manual before
reassembling.
• When hoisting up the engine, use the hook provided on
the cylinder head.
• When installing the snap ring on the shaft or hole, di-
