• If the switch is normal, check the connector and wiring.

If the above operation occurs, it is normal.
• If the switch is normal, check the switch operation, con-
nector and wiring.
7.1.18 CHECKING OIL SWITCH
1. Check the operation of the oil switch.
2. Connect the positive terminal to the wiring side and the
negative terminal to the body ground.
3. Set the tester to the "DCV" range.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
5. If the measured voltage reads approx. DC 12 V, the
wiring is normal (replace the oil switch).
• If the measured voltage does not read around DC 12 V,
check the oil lamp, fuse and wiring for open circuit.
