4.2 CONTROL
4.2.1 CONDITIONS FOR AUTOMATIC
CONTROL FUNCTION
The automatic control function operates only if all the be-
low conditions are satisfi ed.
1. Automatic feeding depth control switch: Automatic
2. Threshing clutch: engaged (threshing unit switch: ON)
3. Main shift lever: Forward
(reverse switch: OFF, neutral switch: OFF)
4. Straw sensor: ON
5. The vehicle speed sensor detects the vehicle speed.
6. No manual operation is not performed.
7. Error in self-diagnosis
The grain sensor S1 (straw side) should not be OFF
for over 1 second and the grain sensor S2 (grain side)
should not be ON for over 1 second.
4.2.2 GRAIN SENSOR AND FEEDING
DEPTH CONTROL MOTOR OUTPUT
The grain sensors can be adjusted in range shown in the
fi gure by the feeding depth control lever. Also, the feeding
depth of the grain sensor can be adjusted in three stages
(standard, shallow and deep) at a certain position with the
feeding depth selection switch.

4.1 OVERVIEW
1. Two grain sensors are installed between the reaping
and threshing units to detect precise length of crops for
suitable control.
2. When starting reaping, optimal delay time is applied ac-
cording to the combine harvester's moving speed. As
the feeding depth is controlled after the crops are sent
to the grain sensors, proper feeding depth can be ob-
tained.
3. The response is slightly delayed, depending on the
driving speed, to evenly reap crops of various lengths.
4. The position and depth of the grain sensors can be
adjusted by the feeding depth control lever and feeding
depth selection switch (standard, shallow, deep).
