5.6.2 PROBLEMS INVOLVED WITH TURNING AND CORNERING
Symptom Cause Action
The combine harvester
cannot be turned (direction
control cylinder) and the
reaping unit cannot be lifted
(reaping control cylinders).
• Faulty ground of the threshing controller
• Faulty ground wiring in the threshing controller
• Main wiring connector of
the threshing controller
• Threshing controller
All of the direction control
cylinders (LH/RH) do not
operate.
• Faulty direction control lever switch
• Faulty ground wiring in the threshing controller
• Power is not supplied to the steering control
solenoids (LH/RH).
• Direction control lever
switch
• Threshing controller
• Main wiring connector of
the MICOM unit
Only either the LH or RH
direction control cylinder
operates.
• Power is not supplied to the right (or left) turn relay.
• Faulty direction control lever switch (LH or RH)
• Faulty right (or left) turn relay coil (open circuit)
• Main wiring connector of
the threshing controller
• Direction control lever
switch
• Threshing controller
The direction control cylinder
(LH or RH) operates
even with the power steering
lever is kept in the neutral
position.
• Improperly installed direction control lever switch
• Faulty N.O. (normally open) contact of the right (or
left) turn relay
• Ground between the steering control solenoid (RH
or LH) and threshing controller or the MICOM unit
• Correct the direction
control lever switch's
installed position
• Threshing controller
• Main wiring connector of
the threshing controller
(power)
The reaping unit is lifted by
moving the power steering
lever to the left or right
when the reaping unit safety
switch is in the "LOCK"
position.
• Power is not supplied to the threshing controller. • Power to the threshing
controller (control fuse)
The combine harvester is
not braked when tilting the
power steering lever to the
end position. (no turning)
• Incorrectly adjusted power brake cable
• Defective low pressure relief valve of the valve unit
• Defective variable relief valve
• Adjust power brake cable
• Adjust or replace
• Replace (see page 6-7)
