Configuration Screen
The following settings can be selected in the
Ventilator and Gas Supply Standby configuration
screen (refer to Figure 120.).
Parameter Default Values
This setting allows the user to set default ventilation
parameters for volume, pressure, and optional
pressure support modes.
To configure default ventilation parameters:
1. Using the confirm knob, select and confirm the
desired ventilation mode. The ventilation
parameter soft keys for the mode will become
activated (see Figure 121).
Figure 121. Ventilation Parameter Soft Keys Activated2. Using the confirm knob, set the parameters (see
“Setting/Selecting Ventilation Parameters” on
page 34).
If the trigger has been pre-set to OFF in volume
mode or pressure mode, the value configured
under pressure support will automatically be
adopted when synchronization is activated
during operation. The same also applies with
regard to adopting the value for ∆P
PS, although
this cannot be configured in the volume mode
and pressure mode.
Gas Supply Checks
The settings selected in this screen determine which
gas supplies will be checked during the self test and
normal operation (Yes or No).
Body Weight Related Ventilator Settings
This setting determines whether VT and Freq
presettings are to be based on patient weight.
1. Using the confirm knob, select and confirm “Yes”
or “No”.
If “Yes” is selected, a table appears with
predetermined weight classes and Vt and Freq
settings (1 in Figure 122).
WARNING !
Either pipeline O2 or cylinder O2 (or both) must
be selected.
