Checking the Workstation
According to the Check List
The preuse checkout procedure consists of a manual
procedure performed by the user, followed by an
automated self test. The manual procedure is
summarized in the check list that is displayed after
the machine is powered on.
Before starting the checkout procedure, ensure the
following conditions are met:
• the machine is prepared and assembled as
specified in the Routine Maintenance and
System Setup sections of this manual
• the gas supply and power supply are
connected
WARNING !
Do not insert any additional components into or
modify the Apollo after the checkout procedure
has been started.
WARNING !
Patient hoses should be adjusted to the
appropriate lengths prior to performing the leak
and compliance tests. Inappropriate hose
length affects compliance and can result in
incorrect tidal volume delivery to the patient.
