2. Using the rotary knob, select and confirm the
desired VT in accordance with the table below.
For weights between the four predetermined classes,
the settings for VT and Freq are interpolated.

and confirm “Restore factory default
presets” (2 in Figure 122) using the rotary
knob.
Ventilator Default Settings
- PINSP adjusts with PEEP: (Yes or No)
If this setting is set to “Yes”, the inspiratory pressure
(P
INSP) will be automatically changed when the
PEEP value is changed in pressure-controlled
ventilation mode, so that the difference between
P
INSP and PEEP remains constant.
If this setting is set to “No”, P
INSP will be unaffected
by changes in the PEEP value.
- T
INSP changes with freq. if synchronization is
off: (Yes or No)
If this setting is set to “Yes”, the inspiratory time
(T
INSP) will be automatically changed when the
frequency (Freq) is changed in volume-controlled or
pressure-controlled ventilation modes (without
synchronization), so that the resultant ratio of
inspiration to expiration (I:E) remains constant.
If this setting is set to “No”, T
INSP will be independent
of the change in frequency, and the I:E ratio will
change accordingly.
