7. Push the breathing system back in until it clicks
into place.
8. Perform the leak test as described on page 79.
9. Reset the absorbent change log to actual date
(see page 64).
Note: The disposable Drägersorb CLIC absorber
can be used instead of the reusable
absorber system described above.
Replace the CLIC Adapter Absorber
(Optional)
Replace the CLIC absorber when:
• the inspiratory CO
2 concentration exceeds
5 mmHg,
or
• the indicator color changes from white to violet.
The color indicator can regenerate slowly and
the soda lime may revert to white, but its
absorption capacity is nevertheless spent. You
should therefore dispose of used absorbers
immediately.
The disposable absorber can be replaced during
operation. The valve in the mounting ensures that the
breathing system remains tightly sealed when the
absorber is removed.
Note: Since a leak test cannot be performed during
operation, no leak and compliance
information on the changed absorber is
available. Greater attention is required
during operation.
• To replace the CLIC absorber:
Replace the disposable absorber to ensure
continuous CO
2 absorption in the breathing system.
1. Press the button: the absorber swings open on
its mounting. At the same time, the breathing
system is sealed, and ventilation continues.
2. Remove the disposable absorber from the
mounting.
