Figure 25. Cylinder Yoke LocationsThe Apollo is equipped with ANSI standard
pin-indexed hanger yokes for E-size cylinders (O
2
yoke standard, N

O and air yokes optional). The
cylinder yokes are located on the back of the
machine as shown in Figure 25.
.
WARNING !
When attaching a cylinder, ensure that only one
washer is installed between the cylinder and the
yoke gas inlet. The use of multiple washers will
inhibit the pin-index safety system. Be sure to
verify the presence of the index pins each time a
cylinder is installed. Never attempt to override
the pin-index safety system.
WARNING !
Close the backup gas cylinders during
operation unless they are necessary. If the
backup cylinders are left open while operating
with the central gas supply, gas may be taken
from the cylinders.
CAUTION !
Even if the gas supply is connected to a medical
gas pipeline, the cylinders should remain on the
device in reserve.
CAUTION !
If cylinder valves are leaky or difficult to open or
close, they must be repaired in accordance with the
manufacturer’s specifications.
WARNING !
Use only pressure reducing adapters from
Dräger.
