Connecting the Breathing Hoses
Figure 151. Breathing Hose and Water Trap Connections
1. Connect 22 mm (0.87 in) breathing hoses to the
inspiratory and expiratory ports on the breathing
system (1 in Figure 151).
2. Connect the other end of the breathing hoses to
a Y-piece (2 in Figure 151), or to the optional
filter on the Y-piece.
Installing the Water Trap and Sample Line
1. Push the new or empty water trap into its holder
on the front of the machine(3 in Figure 151) until
it clicks into place.
2. Connect one end of the sample line to the Luer
fitting on the water trap (4 in Figure 151).
3. Connect the other end of the sample line to the
Luer fitting on the Y-piece (2 in Figure 151).
Ensure that all Luer fittings are securely
connected.

Breathing hoses used on the Apollo must
comply with current ANSI standards.
WARNING !
Do not use antistatic or conductive breathing
hoses. There is a risk of burns when using high
frequency electrosurgical equipment.
