1. Swing the writing table out of the way.
2. Press the release button on the ventilator unit
and pull it out.
3. Turn the absorber canister clockwise and pull it
down (1 in Figure 136).
Empty the soda lime from the canister.
4. Remove the insert from the absorber (2 in Figure
136). The inner and outer sealing ring remain on
the absorber insert.
5. Prepare the absorber for cleaning and
disinfection.
Removing the breathing system
Note: If the anesthesia machine had been used
just prior to cleaning, allow the breathing
system to cool for five minutes.
1. Loosen the three sealing screws on the ventilator
(3 in Figure 136) a quarter turn counterclockwise
with the wrench supplied.
2. Pull the breathing system up and out by the
handle (4 in Figure 136).

• Remove the upper diaphragm (1 in Figure 137)
and prepare it for cleaning and disinfection.
