(3) Signal Lever
Description
The signal lever is positioned at the back of the Guide roller / Timing roller. Whether the paper is fed by the
Timing roller is detected mechanically. Operation the pinch lever is attached to the other end of the shaft to
which the signal lever is attached. As the signal lever is jumped by the paper, the pinch lever also jumps.
Accordingly the Press roller is out of control and rises. The above operation keeps the drum from dirts as the
Press roller is in contact with the drum when the paper is not fed. As the Press roller sensor detects rising of
the Press roller, Whether the paper is fed from the paper feed section to the printing section normally is
detected indirectly.
