Adjusting the Master Attachment/Detachment Position
¡For description of operation.
1. Master detachment position
¡The correct position for stopping of the drum
(position for master detachment) is when the cen-
ter axis of the master clump open/close arm and
the center axis of the master clump open/close
lever are aligned in a straight line. Adjust so that
the offset of the alignment of these two center
axes is ±1mm (gauge this value visually).
Adjustment procedure
1) Access HELP mode H-09, the drum position
check mode.
2) Press the PRINT key several times, to move
the drum and stop it in the position where the
master attachment/detachment sensor senses
that the shade plate's master detachment posi-
tion edge.
3) Adjust the offset in the alignment of the center
axis of the master clump open/close arm and the
center axis of the master clump open/close lever.
NOTE
4) Loosen the set screw indicated, turn the master
attachment/detachment sensor shade plate a lit-
tle in the direction of the arrows, and provision-
ally tighten the set screw.
5) Repeat step 2), and check the center axis align-
ment offset.
6) If necessary, repeat steps 2) through 5) until the
center axis alignment offset is within ±1mm.
7) Properly tighten the set screw, and check 6)
again.
2. Master attachment position
¡Perform adjustment of master attachment posi-
tion at the same time as that of master detach-
ment position. Adjust both positions to an accura-
cy of ±1mm.
