Black Ink Change
Selecting this mode allows the exchange of photo black ink and matte black ink.
NOTE: This menu exists only when HCD/PPI ink is set. When HC2/AY ink is set,
this menu is not displayed.
How to change
1. Start with "BK INK CHANGE = EXEC" in "MAINTENANCE MENU" of Panel
setup menu by SelecType button.
2. Open ink cover.
NOTE: Panel message: "OPEN INK COVER". It is displayed until ink cover
is opened.
3. Remove black ink cartridge.
NOTE: Panel message: "REMOVE BK INK CRTG". It is displayed until
black ink cartridge is removed.
4. Insert drain cartridge.
NOTE: Panel message: "INSERT DRAIN CRTG". It is displayed until drain
cartridge is inserted.
5. Close ink cover.
NOTE: Panel message: "CLOSE INK COVER". It is displayed until ink
cover is closed.
6. Black ink draining in the tube will be started automatically after ink cover is
closed.
NOTE: Panel message: "DRAINING nn%" 00% ~ 99%
7. Finish black ink draining.
8. Open ink cover.
NOTE: Panel message: "OPEN INK COVER" It is displayed until ink cover
is opened.
9. Remove drain cartridge.
NOTE: Panel message: "REMOVE DRAIN CRTG" it is displayed until drain
cartridge is removed.
10. Insert appropriate black ink cartridge.
NOTE: Panel message: "INSERT BK INK CRTG". It is displayed until black
ink cartridge is inserted.
11. Close ink cover
NOTE: Panel message: "CLOSE INK COVER" it is displayed until ink cover
is closed.
12. Black ink charge will be started after ink cover is closed.
NOTE: Panel message: "BK INK CHARGING nn%" 00% ~ 99%
13. After charging is finished, manufacture logo recorded on CSIC of changed ink
cartridge will be displayed.
