!1 TONE ICONS
While operating in the FM or FM-N mode:
(pp. 17-13, 17-15)
TONE: Enables the subaudible tone encoder.
• TSQLS: Enables the tone squelch with the
Pocket Beep function.
TSQL: Enables the Tone Squelch function.
• DTCSS: Enables the DTCS squelch with the
Pocket Beep function.
• DTCS: Enables the DTCS Squelch function.
TSQL-R: Enables the Reverse Tone Squelch
function.
DTCS-R: Enables the Reverse DTCS Squelch
function.
• DTCS (“DTCS” blinks):
When you transmit, the selected DTCS
code is superimposed on your normal
signal.
When you receive, the function is OFF.
T-DTCS (“T” blinks):
When you transmit, the selected sub-
audible tone is superimposed on your
normal signal.
When you receive, the DTCS squelch
opens only for a signal that includes a
matching DTCS code and polarity. (Au-
dio is heard)
• D-TSQL (“D” blinks):
When you transmit, the selected DTCS
code is superimposed on your normal
signal.
When you receive, the tone squelch
opens only for a signal that includes
a matching tone frequency. (Audio is
heard)
T-TSQL (“T” blinks):
When you transmit, the selected sub-
audible tone is superimposed on your
normal signal.
When you receive, the tone squelch
opens only for a signal that includes
a matching tone frequency. (Audio is
heard)
While operating in the DV mode: (pp. 9-20, 9-21)
• DSQLS: Enables the Digital Call Sign squelch
function with the Pocket Beep function.
DSQL: Enables the Digital Call Sign squelch
function.
• CSQLS: Enables the Digital Code squelch func-
tion with the Pocket Beep function.
CSQL: Enables the Digital Code squelch func-
tion.
