Sensor Test
To test a flatbed or ADF sensor, perform the following steps:
1 Navigate to Scanner tests > Sensor Test.
2 Actuate the sensor you wish to test.
The screen will toggle between 0 and 1 if the sensor is properly functioning.
3 Press X to leave the test.
Scanner Calibration Reset
Note: Before starting the test, make sure the scanner glass and backing material are clean.
To perform this operation, do the following:
1 Navigate to Scanner Tests > Scanner Calibration Reset.
2 Select Continue or Exit.
After successfully executing this test, verify the results.
1 Load the ADF with a document containing both light and dark content.
2 Perform a duplex copy. If the back side of the resulting copy contains vertical streaks, clean the scanner glass and
backing sheet, perform the back side scan uniformity procedure, and then perform another copy. If streaks still
appear on the resulting copy, repeat the cleaning and verification procedure for a second time or replace the ADF
entirely.
ADF Magnification and Flatbed Magnification
This allows the servicer to adjust the ADF or flatbed magnification levels. To adjust the ADF magnification level, perform
the following:
1 Do either of the following:
To adjust the ADF magnification, navigate to SCANNER TESTS > ADF Magnification.
To adjust the flatbed magnification, navigate to SCANNER TESTS > Flatbed Magnification.
2 Adjust the magnification setting, and then touch Submit to save any changes.
Configuration menu
The Configuration menu group consists of menus, settings, and operations that are used to configure a printer for
operation.
Entering the Configuration menu
The Configuration Menu group contains a set of menus, settings, and operations which are infrequently required by a
user. Generally, the options made available in this menu group are used to configure a printer for operation.
1 Turn off the printer.
2 Press and hold the 2 and 6 buttons simultaneously.
